Par's Branded Products Division was launched in 2005 with the approval of Megace® ES. Megace ES is indicated for the treatment of anorexia, cachexia, or unexplained significant weight loss in AIDS patients and was conceived and developed by Par's Generic Division and launched in 2005. In September 2007, Par's Branded pharmaceuticals business was renamed Strativa Pharmaceuticals. Strativa has in-licensed various late-stage development drugs with the goal of leveraging Strativa's experienced branded management team and a strong commercial infrastructure that is deployed to over 80% of the treaters in the U.S. supportive care segment.
