MIC-31, a single plant extract, is used for preventing and treating the gastric ulcer caused by Helicobacter pylori and alcohol. Infection with H. pylori is now found to be the cause of 90% of duodenal ulcers and 80% of gastric ulcers. MIC-31 was developed based on the results of in vitro assays, in vivo animal models and preliminary human studies.

Both animal studies and preliminary human studies have shown that MIC-31 creates significant gastroprotective action against the ulceration caused by Helicobacter pylori. In vitro tests, in vivo animal tests and preliminary human clinical trial data are available on request.
